Crime lab expected to be big boost for case backlogs

A WSU study showed a huge backlog in the number of criminal cases where on-hand DNA evidence hadn't been tested yet. Locally, the Washington State Patrol's crime lab on the EWU campus has already helped cut the backlog by 70 cases.
